Now here at Markmeets.. we’ve been huge fans of the lads having watched them perform on the X Factor last year, we even met them and got papped with the lads on the red carpet!
And since we hung out with them at the X factor wrap party it’s always been all about the music.
The five piece spent the summer working on their debut album, recording in the UK, Sweden and the US (Where they also got to shoot the music video ‘What Makes You Beautiful’).
As far as One Direction fans go (and we know, many of them follow us on Twitter), their commitment is unbelieveable!
With an upcoming ITV documentary, sold-out tour and lots more apperances and projects in the pipeline, the debut album is certain to win top the charts when it get’s released on November 21st (Though it is also up against Westlife’s Greatest Hits album)!!!
Now clearly Harry, Louis, Zayn, Niall and Liam are a force not to be reckoned with and ‘Up All Night’ certainly meant the lads working tirelessly for months to make it right and we know every fan will appreciate all teh work
that has gone into it…well it’s been over a year since they were on the show!
The new single ‘Gotta Be You’ (which will be performed on The X Factor Sunday 13th november) is guaranteed to set the charts alight, the catchy number could well be set to top the single’s chart and from the fan reaction, they just can’t get enough!
The album was produced/written by the best folk in the business an we would expect no less offcourse! The team behind some of the biggest tracks by Britney Spears plus ‘N Sync and Backstreet Boys’ (Who are going on tour next year) have really excelled themselves on this production!
Above you would have seen the album cover and further below is a copy of the album’s huge tracklisting. And without further ado, we are now we are gonna go through afew of the tracks!
The lead track has one of the longest chorus’s known in the pop world and they could even give meatloaf a run for his money on this one! The lyrics are straight to the point and the accompanying video makes perfect sense + all the girls think that Harry is hot in it! Well they all scrub up well don’t they?
Alot has been written in the press about some of the tracks, and with Ed Sheeren on board plus Tom Fletcher, it really does show the market which the boys are aiming at..teenage girls (and boys) who just love a good tune!
Stand out tracks beside “What Makes You Beautiful’ and their upcoming single ‘ Gotta be you’ are “I Want”, which makes a change from the previous tones of the band, it very much could be a McFLy track with Guitars and a slightly harder sound from the songs that what we’ve heard them perform before. One thing we do know and that is Tom Fletcher who wrote the track, will earn himself shed loads of money and should jolly well be proud of himself!
Track 8, is ‘Taken’, this is very much an American sounding track with a thumping underlying beat that will get you foot tapping from the first 4 bars til the end!!
So many songs on the album really could be released as singles and a good album being remembered by the public is all about the quality of the single releases to sell the album!
The song ‘Stole My Heart’ again is a slight change from the norm and just shows what the lads with their vocals can do with a variety of tracks, and then they still kill it!!!!!! (In a good way). The lyrics are more R&B /Pop Hip Hop though it could be a track they perform at festivals for years to come!
Before we mention the bonus tracks which again, are superb album tracks, we wanted to say that song 4 on the album ‘More Than This’ sounds very 90’s and that to us, is a VERY good indeed.
With 2 bonus tracks on the album, fans really are spoilt for choice. ‘Stand Up’ really does need to be performed with stools and ‘Moments’ is a typical X Factor winners song, which although it may sell well if released (which it won’t be), it could very quicky be forgotten.
For an act so popular with magazine specials, their own range of dolls, the impact on this album will be enormous on the POP music scene. For any fan lucky enough to get tickets to the upcoming tour, there will be endless songs pumped out which you will very quickly be familiar with.
It would have been amazing, if the bonus tracks were maybe some songs the lads performed on The X factor..we just hope that should there be a deluxe album, this will be the case!

One Direction have been criticised by X Factor viewers for urging their fans to keep in Frankie Cocozza.
It’s Louis Tomlinson in particular who has been coming under fire.
The boyband member posted on Twitter on Saturday: “Yes Frankie. A lot of people can sing not a lot of people can own a stage like him!”
“Come on lad. Wrong song choice. Still has great stage presence has the potential to be a star. Get behind Frankie!!”
Some viewers launched the hashtag #BlameLouis, with posts blaming the popular pop ground for the dismissals of Johnny Robinson and frontrunners The Risk.
One Direction, formed by judges on last year’s series, will return to the X Factor stage next weekend to perform their new single ‘Gotta Be You’.
Perhaps Frankie can thank them in person…

You’ll all know by now that Harry Styles and Caroline Flack supposedly shared saliva not so long ago, and according to Star magazine, Harry’s mum Anne Cox is not happy about it whatsover!
Anne and Harry have a rather close relationship and we really respect the woman (not at all just because we want her to think we’re amazing potential daughter-in-laws…) so if we were Caroline we’d probably be a little scared right now!
Apparently Anne has warned Caroline: “Keep your hands off my son!”
A close family friend told Star: “Understandably, Anne doesn’t want Harry to end up getting hurt. Caroline is a worldly woman, who is never short of male attention. Anne just feels Harry needs to stick to girls his own age and says Caroline should back off!”
We’re pretty sure Harry won’t be getting hurt, have you seen the amount of women that are after him?!
What do you think? Is Anne right? Would you want to annoy Harry’s mum?
